FOR FLORISTS & FLOWER GROWERS

by CLARE NOLAN

the
'STYLING & PHOTOGRAPHY BOOTCAMP'

LATE WINTER 2024

TWO WEEK ONLINE PROGRAMME

What if taking gorgeous pictures didn't have to be so hard?

This 'Styling & Photography Bootcamp' is a highly targeted, immersive experience that will give you the skills and confidence you need to create beautiful photos, with ease... photos that will finally do your work justice.

It's the only programme of its kind that is specifically designed to support Florists, Flower Growers and Farmers

I've taken on board feedback and designed a course that is live, relatively short and fully supportive - with plenty of access so you get the chance to pick my brain.

As a creative mentor, an ex-florist and keen flower grower with over 25 years experience of styling, art directing and photographing for magazines and books, I'm in the perfect position to nurture your creativity and help you gain the skills you need to take pictures you'll be proud of.

This programme will help you:

Take much better pictures..yes that goes without saying, but you'll be doing it more easily, quickly (and hopefully with a smile on your face rather than just feeling under pressure and stressed). AND...I'll show that you don't need any expensive equipment or a swanky studio in which to do it either - just your smart phone.

Gain real clarity on the kind of photographs you need to take for your business and how you're going to use them going forward.

Spot the best places to shoot to give your photos the right feel and look that will suit your brand.

Easily put together backdrops for your shots to showcase your work beautifully.

Establish your signature style so you can curate a collection of props that fits with your brand and style blueprint.

Learn the fundamentals of lighting, composition and camera angles so that you can make a real difference to the quality and feel of your photos.

This programme is open to ALL - whether you are using a smart phone or an SLR camera.

Instead of struggling on your own, let me help you

I've spent the past twenty five years making photographs look picture perfect for magazines and books. For the past five years, I've been mentoring private clients in the art and now, I'm going to teach you how to do the same for yourself in this 'Styling & Photography Bootcamp'.

I cut new ground working on my second book 'In Bloom', by shooting all the photographs myself as well as growing, writing and styling (with twin toddlers at my ankles). I know what it's like to feel under pressure to document something when you only have ten minutes and a to-list that's still as long as your arm.

This is why I'm uniquely equipped to help you.

Why this course is unique

This course is a little bit different to others out there. Here's why:

1: Firstly, it's live. Nothing is pre-recorded. That way, I can tailor the programme of learning to make it more specific to you and the group.

2: You'll get lots of access to me. Alongside four live group mentoring sessions, you'll have a private mentoring session with me. I'll also be in the private WhatsApp group to answer questions (and be your creative cheerleader) in between sessions.

3: It's a short and highly targeted programme. There aren't dozens of modules to shift through to get to the nuggets of learning. Remember, I was an a magazine editor for 15 years...it's always about the edit.

4: I'm deliberately keeping the group small - a maximum of 12. It keeps thing intimate and means we'll all get to know another. It also gives you more of a chance to make connections with other like-mined flowery people...and that my friends, is pure gold.

It's the styling that can really take your photos to a whole other level.

Many people think that in order to take better pictures, you need to be a better photographer. Yes, knowing more about lighting, camera angles and editing will help - absolutely and don't worry I will cover the fundamentals in this programme... BUT more often than not it's the styling and art direction that needs working on first (this is definitely something I've found when working with my private clients).

Now we all have a smart phone in our pocket, taking photos is soooo much easier - it's possible to tweak pretty much anything you get wrong afterwards; the crop, contrast, brightness, warmth...but you know what you can't fix? THE STYLING. And it really does make or break a shot. That's where I can help you.

I'm going to teach you how to think and see like a stylist.
