While the simple gesture of postitioning a tumbler or jam jar with a few stems picked from the garden is enough to show a space is cared for, considered and loved, the real joy comes from 'playing' with the blooms and styling them within your home.

On this course, I'll demonstrate how to you can use seasonal blooms along with foraged stems to bring the magic of nature indoors to style your home. You'll learn various simple, yet effective floral techniques from a no-fuss garland, to a romantic, garden-gathered hand-tied posy which you'll get to take home with you. I'll also talk you through how to style and curate your floral arrangements within your home for maximum impact. Together we'll make arrangements to style a table - where we'll sit to enjoy our lunch. There will be plenty of practical tips about conditioning and vase life along the way, as well as lots of styling tips and tricks learnt over my years working on photoshoots.

The course is aimed at beginners, no previous experience is required.

The course is based in rural South Oxforshire, near Watlington (OX49). An hour fifteen from London. Public transport links are limited. The Oxford Tube runs a regular service from central London to Lewknor, our local stop. Taxis can be arranged from there.

What to expect on the day:

The course runs from 10am until 3.30pm. It is practical based, and after a short demonstration from me, you'll start creating and styling arrangements yourself with hands-on teaching from me throughout. No experience is needed. We'll be based in my garden studio with access to my small-scale domestic cutting patch.

You'll get to take home arrangements you make on the day and will also have the opportunity to buy plants, seedlings and other items such as vases from our little pop-up shop.

Please arrive by 10am for a prompt 10.30am start.

What to bring:

A waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes - we may be outside for part of the course. All equipment required will be provided during the course, but if you have a favourite pair of flower snips or scissors that you'd like to use, please do bring them.

Food & Drink:

The day begins with a welcome tea/coffee and light refreshments. A two-course healthy vegetarian lunch will be provided (local, seasonal and organic where possible).

Please notify us at time of booking of any dietary requirements (diary-free/vegan/gluten-free etc).
